SUCCESSFUL 2021 START FOR CAPUMA; BCITMA CONFERENCE ACCOLADES

It's been a very productive and successful first month of 2021 for the Capilano University Marketing Association

Earlier in January, CAPUMA took part in the 2021 BCITMA Annual Regional Conference, a two-day virtual student marketing conference hosted by students of the BCIT Marketing Association. The conference focused on advocating for sustainability on social and environmental causes. All of the speakers encouraged students to promote and embrace sustainability and philanthropy in a company setting. Conference festivities included presentation workshops from prominent professionals in B.C.'s marketing industry, and various competitions testing the in-class marketing aptitude of these student marketers.

We're proud of our efforts for this year's competitions, as we placed 1st in the mini-case competition and 3rd in both the backpack and SABRE simulation! Congratulations to the following Cap U students:

1st Place, Mini Case Competition

  • Grace Hardman

  • Jacob Jordan

  • Nicholas Korz

3rd Place, SABRE Simulation

  • Mary Dyck

  • Kristine Yuen

3rd Place, Backpack Simulation

  • Ruby Ramirez

  • Robin Sidhu

  • Jay Herbsen

  • Terrence Alanis
