The Capilano University Marketing Association (CAPUMA), formally known as the Marketing Association of Capilano Students (MACS), was founded in 2008 by a small group of business students. It has grown in members throughout the years and has evolved to CAPUMA in December 2014 when the association became an official collegiate chapter with the American Marketing Association.


Capilano University Marketing Association is one of the BC collegiate chapters of the American Marketing Association. We provide opportunities to unite students and industry professionals. Our association creates marketing related events that support the student’s knowledge, experience, and skills to enhance their education and beyond.


A non-profit organization with over 300 collegiate and over 70 professional chapters, The American Marketing Association (AMA) is the premiere community for the marketing industry within North America. Along with access to exclusive content and events, members of the AMA also have the benefit of networking and learning with other members who share the same passion and dedication of marketing as they do.
